We did takeout from Tere's Mexican, but I gotta say, it didn't disappoint - if anything, it made me want the experience for dining in the restaurant even more!
It was Cinco De Mayo, but we decided to pick up from Tere's (as opposed to getting it delivered). I insisted on going a little bit early, thinking the food would be ready...it wasn't...but I didn't mind waiting because the vibes within the restaurant were 10/10 (plus they had a parking lot in the back which made for a convenient pick up). Everyone who worked there was so friendly, they invited me to take a seat while I waited even with the restaurant having around three big parties. Plus there was so much to look at while you waited, the restaurant was filled with decorations, posters, color and so much personality.
I ordered the Vegetarian tacos. It came with 2 tacos, rice and beans (and a few chips, a few delicious homemade chips). The tortillas on the tacos, YUM, they were so fresh and soft. The vegetarian tacos had some rice, beans, fresh sliced avocado, pico de gallo and some sour cream on top. It was also sprinkled with cilantro but even as someone who doesn't like cilantro, it didn't bother me at all.
They were great sized tacos but didn't leave you feeling too overly full after. Just happy stomachs!! I saved the chips for the rice and beans, which were delicious, the beans were saucy and made the perfect pairing for the chips to dip in, followed by a dip in the rice.
Next time I'll be eating in for sure!
