Breakfast burrito and fruit from Aroma Coffee and Tea

If you Google Aroma Coffee & Tea, you'll see almost as many photos of the restaurant as you will of the food. That's not because the food is unremarkable, but because this restaurant has some serious style. The inside looks like a really cool, eclectic 75-year-old woman's house. The outside is spacious and tchotchke-laden. Both feature seating for two, four, or more. We went on a weekend during peak brunch hours and waited in line for about 20 minutes, which was tough because you could smell the food from where you waited. You order from an extensive menu at the counter, take a number, and grab a seat. The man who took our order was in a fantastic mood. That's always a plus.

Our drinks came out within ten minutes, and the food was out about another ten minutes later. It was hot, fresh, and delicious. Not to mention, their brunch dishes come in very hearty portions that'll leave you full. Going with the homey theme of the restaurant's decor, the food tasted like it was homemade by your friend whose a really good cook. It's nothing sophisticated, but it's damn good. Top your meal off with a delicious pastry, which gives "Aroma" its name while sitting at the front display case. Thank me later.

What we ate: breakfast burrito, coffee, huevos rancheros, iced matcha latte, maple scone

Final thoughts: If you polled everyone leaving Aroma, almost all customers would say they had a good experience. It's a perfect twist of a great experience and great food. Can get a little busy at the hours you'd expect it to be busy.
